Detective Comics #407


The Man-Bat, a horribly misunderstood, and out of control madman finds love in a
beautiful young woman and plans to marry her.  She finds out his secret, but is determined
that their love shall last.  To prove herself to him, she takes the same serum that made
him into the ravenous half-man, half-bat that he is.  She feels that in this way, she can
truly understand what he is going through.

In a church, just before her wedding, she reveals to Batman what she has done.
She rips off the mask of herself that she's been wearing to conceal what has
happened to her!
