Many, many thanks go out to Luke for scanning and sending these in for all of us to enjoy.
Even more so, he took the time to translate many of them as well! Some have a visual
storyline that is obvious enough, that translation wasn't necessary.
Diabolik is a long time running comic book about a notorious jewel thief and his many
adventures. It has been been a very popular series in Italy and France since the 1960's.
Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find here in the states.
Diabolik constantly uses realistic latex masks to impersonate various people,
in order to pull off his intricate scams and robberies. Although he is rarely seen to use
female masks himself, his beautiful accomplice, Eva Kant is almost constantly in disguise!
It's not often we see a villain as the main character in a popular series. Sometimes he
appears to be the good guy, because many of his victims are corrupt men, but we are
quickly reminded at times that he is definitely a cold hearted killer. Anyone between
him and his objective is merely an obstacle to be removed, even the innocent.
But hey! There's great masks 'n stuff! Woohoo!
